The first production box is online. SSH access is stable, nginx is serving correctly, and the node is finally reachable from the outside.
Today was the first day the portal stopped feeling hypothetical. The Racknerd machine is provisioned, the nginx layer is responding, and the first round of connection tests passed cleanly.
Most of the work was not glamorous. It was a long chain of small checks: DNS, firewall rules, permissions, directory layout, and making sure static assets actually resolve the same way every time.
Now that the server baseline is reliable, this log becomes the permanent record for everything that gets added on top of it: UI experiments, content drops, gallery updates, tools, and whatever strange systems get wired into the site later.
Next step is turning the portal from a proof of presence into a place that actually rewards browsing. The infrastructure exists. Now the content has to catch up.
